How to serial shell into the device:

-Connect the USB cable between the controller's Debug port and the USB port you are using on your PC.
-On your PC, start your terminal emulation software. For example to start PuTTY from the Windows
-In the tree in the PuTTY Configuration dialog, expand Connection and click Serial.
-Set the "Serial line to connect to" for your PC's (USB) COM port to use. For example, COM3.
-Set the "Configure the serial line" fields as follows: • Speed (baud): 115200 • Data bits: 8 • Stop bits: 1 • Parity: None • Flow control: None
-In the tree in the PuTTY Configuration dialog, click Session and then click/select the "Connection type" as Serial
-At the login prompt, enter a platform user name, and at the password prompt, the platform password.
-When finished making platform changes from the system shell, do the following: • If no changes, or reboot is not necessary, simply type L to Logout. • If changes require rebooting, select the Reboot option.

You can apply basic settings to the Inline controller via the system shell. To apply settings via the system shell, proceed as follows: • Connect your PC to the Inline controller via USB OTG. • Open the Telnet client on your PC. • Establish a connection to the Inline controller's Telnet server on: • IP address: 172.16.0.10 • Port: 23 • Click on “Open” to open the system shell.
